The pontoon comprises a platform to which two floats (1) are fixed. The platform is fixed to the floats by removable fixings so that when loaded it is slightly above the water surface. The platform has two stabilizer legs (6,9) connected to it by articulations which are operated by hydraulic actuators (46). The stabilizer legs comprise sealed caissons (4,5) which constitute the platform floatation means.
