PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the number of laminations and to improve motor efficiency simply by creating laminate cores 12 and 14 with two kinds of lamination width by changing the number of laminations of a magnetic steel plate, and to preventing a movable part from being rotated simply by projecting a permanent magnet body from a gap 20 of a stator core 16. SOLUTION: The stator core 16 of a movable magnet type linear motor 10 is composed by combining the tow pairs of laminate cores 12 and 14 with different lamination width being formed by laminating the magnetic steel plate whole plane is nearly in a U shape, both the ends of the pair of laminate cores 12 and 12 with large lamination width and the end of the other pair of laminate cores 14 and 14 with small lamination width are overlapped. At the same time, a permanent magnet body 22 is arranged at the gap 20 of each laminate core, and the end of the permanent magnet body 22 being arranged at the gap of the laminate cores 14 and 14 with small lamination width is allowed to project.
