FILM HOLDER FOR FILM SCANNER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a film to be read with a film scanner in the state of easily positioning this film with high accuracy to a film holder for holding the film without contaminating the frame image plane of the film. SOLUTION: This film holder is used in the film scanner having an image pickup element 113 for reading images by main scanning of the film 200 having the developed images and a scanning mechanism for moving the film 200 in a sub-scanning direction orthogonal with the main scanning direction with respect to the image pickup element 113. The film holder 201 is provided with a position regulating mechanism 230 (regulating roller 215) for moving the position relative to the film molder 201 by operating the film 200 to be inserted into the film holder 201 from the outer side of the film holder 201. The position of the film 200 inserted into the film holder 201 may be regulated without touching the film and film frame images 200b may be exactly aligned to a frame window 203 of the film holder 201 by operating the regulating roller 215. The exact reading of the film image is embodied.
