PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preserving a photographic processing agent and a container for the photographic processing agent excellent in performance as a gas barrier and not containing a compound which causes the generation of dioxins. SOLUTION: The container comprises a multilayer film with at least one polyvinyl alcohol resin layer, at least one polyethylene layer on the inside of the polyvinyl alcohol resin layer brought into contact with a photographic processing agent and at least one polyolefin resin layer or nylon layer on the outside of the polyvinyl alcohol resin layer.
