BURNING QUANTITY OF BODY FAT MEASURING APPARATUS AND AEROBIC EXERCISING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve accurate estimation of the burning quantity of body fat by overcoming its difficulty under factors which are related intricately to the burning of body fat. SOLUTION: In a measuring apparatus, there are arranged an acetone detection sensor 2 for detecting the concentration of acetone in exhalation and an in forming means for notifying the degree of burning of body fat according to the concentration of acetone detected by the acetone detection sensor. Utilizing the diffusion of the acetone released into blood in the burning process of isolated fatty acids in vivo into the exhalation inside the lungs, direct measurement of the burning quantity of body fat is made possible by measuring the acetone in exhalation. This also enables accurate measurement of the burning quantity of the body fat, even under not only at exercising load but also at conducting diet.
