PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for inspecting wiring which can correctly inspect the propriety of a wiring with ends of a plurality of wiring on one side electrically connected to each other while maintaining the electric connection on one end side. SOLUTION: The magnetic field from a core 41 is applied to a magnetic field application range R1 to apply the magnetic field to one end side of every wiring 21. Two probes out of the probes abutted on a ball grid 22 of the wiring 21 are selectively and electrically connected to a current detection unit 8 to select a pair of wirings. The value of the induced current running between these wirings is detected by a current detector 81 of the current detection unit 8 to judge a short circuit by the current value.
