PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the burning of a wind box 14 by intercepting the heat transferred to the box 14 from the inside of a furnace without using any refractory material. SOLUTION: The burning of the wind box 14 is prevented by intercepting the heat transferred to the box 14 from the inside of the furnace without using any refractory material by preventing the wind box 14 from facing the inside of the furnace by providing stainless steel-made burning preventing plates 19a, 19b, and 19c shaped to cover gaps 18 in the furnace in a state where a burner 15 is surrounded closely by burner-section pipes 11 and the plates 19a, 19b, and 19c when viewed from the inside of the furnace.
