PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reference line marking jig to be used for marking refer ence lines to indicate insertion quantity of a pipe to be connected to a pipe joint in performing piping construction to water supply pipes which makes the reference lines to be correctly marked at site, and which is easy to use to be usable with a certain degree of universality. SOLUTION: A coated surface part 2 which can be applied to an outer circumferential surface of a connection pipe is provided, stoppers 3A and 3B are provided inside the coated surface part 2 at a proper interval, and four corners of the coated surface part 2 are cut out in stages to form reference line marking cutout parts 5A, 5A... for a TS joint, control cutout parts 5a, 5a... for a TS joint, reference line marking cutout parts 5B, 5B... for a DV joint, and control cutout parts 5b, 5b... for a DV joint. Stoppers 3A and 3B are used as reference for setting these to end parts of the connection pipe, and these are formed at positions at corresponding distance to size of each pipe joint or connection pipe.
