PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, in a sleeve plunger of a conventional synchronizing device, there is a fear of structure being complicated and durability of a spring being reduced together with reduction of storing workability of a spring and the increase of the number of parts. SOLUTION: A synchronizing device according to this invention comprises a clutch hub 3 fitted in a rotary shaft 2 of a transmission; a sleeve 8 situated integrally rotatably on the outer periphery of the clutch hub and movably in axial directions (a) and (b) of the rotary shaft 2; a sleeve plunger 9 slidably engaged with a groove 8c formed in the sleeve 8; and a spring 13 radially externally erected on the outer peripheral surface of the clutch hub 3 and energizing the sleeve plunger 9 to the sleeve 8 side. Closed end grooves 11 and 12 to hold the spring 13 in a shape in cross section which gradually spreads from bottoms 11a and 12a toward opening parts 11b and 12b are formed in at least one of the sleeve plunger 9 or the clutch hub 3.
