PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the work efficiency by reducing the time required for the work for laying roof board. SOLUTION: In a horizontal roofing roof structure formed by laying the roof board 5 on a sheathing roof board 1 through an insulating sheathing roof board material 7, at both side end parts of the roof board 5, a piece 6c bent toward the back is formed, a substantially rectangular joint plate 9 is disposed extending between the side end parts of the adjacent roof boards 5 and 5, and the bent pieces 6c of the adjacent roof boards 5 and 5 are locked on locking pieces 18 formed on the joint plate 9 whereby the adjacent roof board 5 and 5 are joined, and further heat insulating sheathing roof board material 7 and 30 are respectively mounted on the back of the roof board 5 and the joint plate 9.
