ANTENNA SYSTEM AND RADIO DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna system which is small-sized and thin and can actualize a broader band and higher sensitivity and facilitates the settings of impedance characteristics and a radio device with high speech quality which uses the antenna system. SOLUTION: The antenna system 17 is constituted by arranging on a conductor ground plate 15 a stub 12 which is electrically to the conductor ground plate 15 at one end of a nearly spiral coil element part 11 and an antenna body 10 provided with a feed terminal 14 at a feed point 13 nearby the stub 12 so that a space is left. Then the device can be made small-sized and thin and has its impedance easily set without any matching circuit to widen the band and increase the sensitivity, so that a small-sized, thin radio device with high sensitivity can be provided by using this antenna system 17.
