PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide information to conduct exactly a judgement for whether a bypass route is adopted or not, while the judgement is entrusted finally to a user. SOLUTION: After route guide is started, traffic information transmitted from an information center 10 is received via a communication system 34 (S50), and when a road condition on the present route s varied (S60: YES) calculation for a bypass route, and calculation for respective route distances and traveling times of a present route and the bypass route are carried out (S70). The route distances, the traveling times and a traffic jam in the present route and the bypass route are displayed respectively to allow the user to select either of the present route or the bypass route (S80). When the route is selected (S90: YES) and when the route is changed (S100: YES), the bypass route is set by moving to an S110, and then the route guide is executed as to a new route including the set bypass route, after returned to a S40. |
