PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic tape cassette which can be manufactured at a low cost while preventing the generation of shavings, etc. SOLUTION: The magnetic tape cassette 10 holds runnably a magnetic tape in a cassette case 12. In order to position the magnetic tape cassette 10 with respect to a magnetic tape running mechanism, positioning portions 20, 21, 22 and 23 provided in the cassette case 12 consist of resin different from that of the portion of the cassette case 12 other than the positioning portion.
