摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for measuring a temperature in a combustion furnace such as a garbage incinerator and the like. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises a measuring opening provided on the wall of the combustion furnace, a housing forming a main passage passing from outside the furnace wall toward the measuring opening, cleaning means inserted into the main passage from adjacent to the tail end of the housing to the measuring opening to be freely slidable therein, a measuring passage positioned between the measuring opening and adjacent to the tail end of the housing to branch from the main passage, light refracting means arranged at the crossway of the main passage and the measuring passage for refracting the optical axis such that it can freely advance thereto or retreat therefrom and optical temperature measuring means and optical monitoring means facing the measuring passage. The apparatus further comprises cleaning driver means and measuring driver means for advancing or retreating the cleaning means and the light refracting means, respectively. The cleaning driver means advances or retreats the cleaning means when the light refracting means is evacuated from the crossway, while the measuring driver means advances the light refracting means to the crossway when the cleaning means is retreated adjacent to the tail end of the housing.
