PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling holding construction capable of reducing the weight and cost. SOLUTION: This construction comprises a rail 1 arranged as a backing member for ceiling, a connecting fittings (connecting means) 3 connecting a panel 2 as ceiling to the rail l, and a suspending and holding means suspended from a building frame for holding the rail 1; and the rail 1 is formed to a C-shaped cross section with a web 11 extended to up-down direction, an upper flange 12 and a lower flange 13 projected out from each of upper and lower end portions of the web 11 to one side in the lateral direction, and by an upper rib 14 and a lower rib 15 projecting out from the tip portions of the flanges 12 and 13, and the connecting fittings 3 fixable to the panel 2 in such a manner that the web 11, the upper side flange 12, the upper side rib 14 and the lower side rib 15 are surrounded to a channel shape. |
