PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal that can register an abbreviation dial with a simple operation. SOLUTION: The communication terminal having an abbreviation dial function for dialing an optional telephone number registered in advance by the designation of an abbreviation number, has a redial management section 11b provided with a storage means storing telephone numbers dialed in the past, an operation section 7b provided with a retrieval means retrieving a telephone number stored in the storage means, and a control section 1 controlling each means. In the case of a registration mode of an abbreviation dial, the retrieval means calls the telephone numbers dialed in the past and the called telephone numbers are registered as abbreviation dial numbers.
