PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for welding neck glass and stem glass while temperature rise of a cathode is suppressed to the utmost. SOLUTION: The welding method of cathode-ray tube glass is such that when tubular neck glass and stem glass to which an electron gun is fixed are heated to weld, the neck glass is held down with the stem glass up and heated.
