PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a take-up device for tape body, which can take up a tape body on a tape reel at a high speed faster than that in the prior art. SOLUTION: The take-up device for tape body is provided with a cartridge holding mechanism 31 which houses a pair of tape reels combined with a leader tape in a cartridge main body 4 and holds a tape cartridge 1 with opening part 8 formed in one side surface of this cartridge main body 4 to make an intermediate part of a leader tape 13 face outside, a tape supply mechanism 32 to supply a magnetic tape 5 joined to the leader tape 13, a tape drawing mechanism 33 to draw out the leader tape 13 from the opening part 8 of the tape cartridge 1, a joining mechanism 34 which cuts the drawn-out leader tape 13, and joins it with the magnetic tape 5 supplied from the tape supply mechanism 32, a take-up mechanism which takes up the magnetic tape 5 on one tape reel by rotating the one tape reel, and a tape guide mechanism 36 having a guide roll 94 which guides the magnetic tape 5 taken up by the opening part 8 of the tape cartridge 1.
