PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To settle such a problem that plural device types of different memory contents are needed for changing the memory contents for every type of display screens when the different player-only display screens are required. SOLUTION: This reproducer is provided with a 1st unit A1 including a data reproduction part 2 which reproduces the digital data, a data decoding part 3 which decodes the reproduced data and a 1st control means 4a which controls the parts 2 and 3 and a 2nd unit B1 including a memory 3a' which can be accessed from the means 4a and a 2nd control means 4b which performs communication with the control means 4a. The digital data which are previously stored in the memory 3a' of the unit B1 are transferred to the decoding part 3 or control means 4a and decoded there, and the images are outputted.
