PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure a position by an easy and speedy work. SOLUTION: This position measuring system is provided with a true value storing means for storing a true value for indicating an interval between two objective positions, a calculation value storing means for storing a calculation interval calculated based on a calculation position calculated by a position calculating means regarding to these two objective positions, and a discriminating means for discriminating whether or not error between the calculated interval and the true value is within a predetermined tolerance and outputting a correction coefficient modifying signal for indicating modification of the correction coefficient when the error is out of the tolerance. When the correction coefficient modifying signal is outputted, a position calculating means modifies the correction coefficient and calculates a calculation position again, and the calculation value storing means determines a calculation interval again and stores it.
