PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Fourier spectrometer capable of canceling the delay resulted from an element other than a filter circuit for limiting the band of A/D conversion. SOLUTION: In this Fourier spectrometer, the interference light of a measuring light is measured by scanning with an interferometer and the measurement result is Fourier-transformed in an arithmetic control circuit, whereby the spectrum of the measuring light is determine. This spectrometer comprises the interferometer, a light detector for detecting the interference light transmitting through a sample, first and second filter circuits for removing the DC components of the output signal and positional information signal of the light detector to limit the band, an A/D converter for converting the output of the first filter circuit into a digital signal at the timing of zero cross of the output of the second filter circuit, the arithmetic control circuit for successively reading the output of the A/D converter by Fourier-transforming the resulting interferrogram to determine the absorption spectrum, and first and second delay regulating circuits provided on the former stage from the A/D converter to equally regulate the delay quantities of the output signal and positional information signal of the light detector.
