PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone having data communication functions of different kinds, such as audio voice speech function and a data communication function, where a called user can make reply to an incoming call by using data of a kind different from that of the received data. SOLUTION: The telephone is provided with a means that transmits data of a kind different from the received data or data specifying the received data to a caller telephone and with a means that starts a function of processing the data of the caller telephone, in order that the caller receives data of a kind which is different from the kind of the received data.
