PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply readily sample various chlorinated organic compounds contained in a fluid, such as exhaust has or the like in granular and gaseous states. SOLUTION: A sampler 3 is mainly equipped with an auxiliary filter 42 arranged in a first container 40, sampling filter 51 arranged in a second container 50 and a connection pipe 32 for connecting the first and second containers 40, 50, and the containers 40, 50 and the connection pipe 32 constitute a series of containers. The exhaust gas transported via a transport pipe 4 passes through the auxiliary filter 42 and the sampling filter 51 in this order to be discharged to the outside from a discharge passage 55a via a suction device 5. Various chlorinated organic compounds, contained in the exhaust gas in granular and gaseous states, are collected and sampled by the auxiliary filter 42 and the sampling filter 51.
