PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage of lubricant on the fixed contact surface of the inner peripheral surface of a clutch housing and the moving contact surface of the outer peripheral surface of a cam plate to the outside and to provide an increased service life for a clutch device, in the clutch device. SOLUTION: The clutch device is formed that two rotary shafts are located between the power transmissions of first and second rotary shafts 2 and 3 and intercoupled in a synchronizing manner when a rotation power is inputted to the first rotary shaft and the second rotary shaft is brought into a non-rotation state when a rotation power is inputted to the second rotary shaft and separated away from the first rotary shaft. The clutch device comprises a cam plate 4 having a movable contact surface 4a in the shape of a taper cone; and a clutch housing 1 having the fixed contact surface 1a formed in the shape of a taper cone on an inner peripheral surface and extending in diameter toward one in an axial direction. A lubricant is charged on a contact surface between the cam plate and the clutch housing, and by sealing the periphery of the contact surface by a seal 20, wear of the two contact surfaces is prevented from occurring, and leakage of the lubricant to the outside and entrance of a foreign matter are prevented from occurring, and this constitution provides an increased service life for the clutch device.
