<p>PURPOSE: A control method of a zoom lens camera is provided to control the lens accurately without mechanically zooming or adjusting back focus by detecting the distance difference of the image between the wide angle position and the telephoto position for the drive pulse number of a motor. CONSTITUTION: A control system of a zoom lens camera comprises a lens system having a front movable lens group(L1) and a rear movable lens group(L2), a first motor moving the front lens group, a second motor moving the rear lens group, a first pulse encoder controlling the position of the first motor, and a second pulse encoder for controlling the second motor. The front lens group and the rear lens group are moved forward by the entire unit driving motor, and the rear lens group is moved backward by the rear lens group driving motor for focusing. The distance difference of the image surface of the wide angle position and the telephoto position is measured, and the lens is adjusted according to the calculated distance difference.</p> |
