<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fast reproduce a DVD with no intervention of an OS. SOLUTION: A power switch 3 is turned on to make a device shown in Fig. 1 function as a personal computer. A power circuit 2 turns on a main breaker 4 and supplies power to all devices (5 to 12) via a main power line 15 and a secondary power line 14 to operate these devices. When a DVD reproduction switch 1 is turned on before the switch 3 is turned on, the circuit 2 cuts the power line 15 via the beaker 4 and supplies power to only the devices (8-12) among devices (5-12) via the power line 14 to display the video images of a DVD, etc., on a display 12. Under such conditions, a graphic controller 9 reproduces the image data received from a DVD drive 11 on the display 12 according to only its built-in sequence, i.e., with no intervention of an OS. As a result, the DVD can be reproduced at higher speed.</p> |
