ONE-SIDE COATED SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC FILM MATERIAL WITH REDUCED TENDENCY TO CURL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-side coated silver halide photographic film material less liable to curl before and after processing. SOLUTION: The one-side coated photosensitive silver halide photographic film material includes one or more silver halide emulsion layers top-coated with an outermost protective layer on one side of an undercoated base and a back layer coated with an outermost protective layer on the other side of the base. Each of the emulsion layers contains silver halide grains (the total coating weight of the silver halide is >=5 g/m2 expressed as the equivalent of silver nitrate) dispersed in a binder and <30 wt.% latex polymer based on the amount of the binder. At least the back layer has been provided with an organic component which does not crosslink in a reaction with a curing agent as a second binder in addition to a crosslinked or crosslinkable first binder in its at least one layer and the organic component is a polymer selected from the group comprising dextran having a molecular weight of <=20,000 and polyacrylamides each having a molecular weight of <=20,000.
