SOLUTION: The method for producing the heat developable image recording material with at least one image forming layer containing a polymer latex as a binder and at least one protective layer containing a polymer latex as a binder in this order on the base includes a step for coating the top of a base with a coating liquid for the image forming layer and a coating liquid for the protective layer each at 15-35 deg.C.
