PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible shaft of a simple structure, to be concretely to provide a flexible shaft having a function suitable for transporting and washing a work having a curved surface. SOLUTION: This flexible shaft structure is formed by an elastically deformable core wire, a first strand layer provided in the periphery of the core wire and formed by disposing plural strand groups substantially parallel to the core wire extending over the substantially whole periphery of the core wire, and a second strand layer formed by spirally winding a strand round the periphery of the first strand layer.
