PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work execution method for a wall substrate member capable of very simple and easy work execution and a support of the wall substrate member used for this work execution method. SOLUTION: The support 1 forming a protruding part 3 capable of supporting a lower end part of the wall substrate member made of gypsum board and forming a clearance for receiving one end part of a floor finish member between a floor member 4 and it is fixed between columns 7 and 7 erected at a predetermined interval on a sill 6, the lower end part of the wall substrate member is put on the protruding part 3 of the support 1, and its top face part is brought into contact with a ceiling face to form a wall substrate.
