PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidifier equipped with such an operating function that saves the power consumption of the humidifier by providing an ordinary mode and a saving mode. SOLUTION: When power supply is made to the humidifier, the operating function discriminates whether the mode is an ordinary mode or saving mode in a step S3 and, when the ordinary mode is discriminated, the function operates the humidifier aiming at humidity 1 by ordinarily controlling a heater. When the mode is discriminated as the saving mode in the step S3, the function compares the present humidity with set humidity and, when the present humidity is higher than the set humidity, turns off the heater. When the present humidity is lower than the set humidity, the function confirms whether or not a prescribed period of time T1 has elapsed and, when the time T1 does not elapse, the function operates the humidifier aiming at humidity 2. When the time T1 has elapsed, the function operates the humidifier aiming at the humidity 1. |
