PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a very convenient printing system automating data storage and settings during reuse to reduce the necessity of a resetting operation and, even if the operation is needed, allowing an efficient setting operation. SOLUTION: If a print setting call for a document 1 is made from an application 11, first, a setting reading part 214 is operated by the trigger of a print setting screen call and, if there is information on the setting and storage of the document 1 requested for printing, it is read so that a set value in a current set value retaining part 212 is automatically renewed. If the user thereafter changes settings, the changed contents of the settings are reflected on the value set in the current set value retaining part 212, and print data is originated according to the settings and fed to a printer. At the same time, print setting information is automatically stored in a file as it is associated with the name of the document. Redundant contents are not stored in the file. During automatic setting, new setting information about origination time is selected. |
