PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel boring machine capable of preventing a machine body from falling into a fault in a propulsion by a muck entered into the circumference of the body in spite of the fact that the mock is not so much left behind. SOLUTION: For the tunnel boring machine bored by rotating a cutter head having a slit hole in which the mock is taken, a raker projected outward from an outside diameter of the cutter head is provided to the rear end of the slit hole in a detachable manner, and it is so constituted that a guide plate is mounted between slit holes adjacent to each other on the circumference of the cutter head.
