PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide management technology of image data in a network by which a scale of a network system can be reduced and its buildup cost can be decreased. SOLUTION: This invention provides the image data management system for the network, consisting of a scanner 1, a printer 5 and a client computer 3 that are connected to the network. The printer 5 is provided with a storage section 52 that stores image data received from the scanner 1, and the client computer 3 manages the image data stored in the storage section 52 via the network.
