PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic transfer method and a device therefor which prevent vibrations generated on disks, when magnetic transfer is performed, while bringing a master disk and a slave disk into close contact with each other through vacuum suction and both of the disks are separated from the state of close contact by the supply of compressed air. SOLUTION: The magnetic transfer is performed, while bringing both of the disks into close contact, by opening a solenoid valve 21 for suction and vacuum-sucking the master disk 2 from the center hole 1a of the slave disk 1 which is held by a suction head 3. Thereafter, the solenoid valve 21 for suction is closed, and the compressed air is released from the center hole 1a of the slave disk 1, by opening a solenoid valve 22 for releasing. When a prescribed pressure for supplying compressed air is detected by a pressure switch 23 disposed in a path for supplying compressed air, a rectilinear advancing slider 6 is operated by a control part 25, and the master disk 2 and the slave disk 1 are separated.
