PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently generate a mesh for easily controlling the roughness/ denseness of finite elements generated in a three-dimensional shape model and precisely analyzing this shape model. SOLUTION: Division information for generating a shape model to be analyzed and a finite element mesh, is inputted (ST1-ST2), and a recognition model in which the ridge of the shape model is assigned to any coordinate axial direction of an orthogonal coordinate system is generated (ST3), and a mapping model in which orthogonal grating is generated on the surface and inside part of an approximate shape model is generated (ST4), and the generated mapping model is displayed on the screen (ST5), and the mapping model is changed by an interactive operation (ST7), and a finite element mesh is generated from the lattice point of the changed mapping model (ST8).
