PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique permitting to decrease the number of access cycles to picture data. SOLUTION: The memory access method for making access to two lines of picture data stored in memory comprises a step for making access to the picture data by outputting a Column Address after a Row Address storing a line of picture address has been outputted, and a step for suppressing pre- charge when the preceding Row Address storing the line of picture data made access to is the same address storing a line of the picture data to be made access to next, and making access to the address of the next line of picture data following the preceding line of the picture data made access to.
