PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll-like vegetation body which is lightweight, excellent in carriage property, installation property and strength, adaptable to various rivers of different flow speed, capable of simplifying the work at site and saving the man-hour by housing the vegetation body in advance, suitable for growing plants, and effective in improving the natural environment. SOLUTION: A cylindrical core 2 is a paper-made hollow cylindrical body. A columnar roll 3 for vegetation wound around the cylindrical core 2 is formed of a sheet 4 formed by knitting vegetable fibers or chemical fibers in a rectangular shape. A vegetation base material 6 is stuck to the sheet 4 close to a position on a tip side 4B, and the vegetation base material 6 is formed by appropriately blending a vegetation body 7 such as seeds, a fertilizer 8, and a soil conditioner 8. The roll-like vegetation body for seeding and planting revetment is installed by passing a stretched wire through the cylindrical core 2.
