PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate assembly in manufacturing an imaginary rod multipolar ion lens, and adjustment in manufacturing and use. SOLUTION: Electrode plates 31a-34d constituting an imaginary rod electrode are formed in specified necessary shape at least at the edges on the ion optical axis x side, and the electrode plates 31a-34d are held at the parts away from the ion optical axis, by an insulator holder 35 formed of an insulator and fixed in these positions to unitize the imaginary rod multipolar ion lenses. A terminal unit for applying specified voltage to the electrode plates 31a-34d is provided separately from the imaginary rod multipolar ion lens unit 30. In the imaginary rod multipolar ion lens unit 30, the electrode plates to which the same potential is applied are connected to each other by immobile short lines 36a, 36b.
