PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide valve gear in which height of the valve gear usable as a pressure regulating valve, a cut-off valve, or a simultaneous opening valve can be reduced, and in which valve operation can be conducted by utilizing only water pressure supplied to a pipeline. SOLUTION: A method in which a through hole of a similar size to an inner diameter of the pipeline is closed or opened by means of a piston slidable in parallel to the moving direction of fluid flowing in the pipeline is employed, water pressure on the water feeding side is added to two inner spaces in a cylinder containing the piston parted by a part of the piston, and when water pressure on the water feeding side is reduced to be lower than a specified pressure, it is utilized to reduce pressure in one inner space for conducting slide control to the piston, thereby shut-off and release of water feeding are controlled.
