PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accurate gasmeter used care-freely by a gas user and a gas supplying company, by providing, in the gasmeter, a mechanism for preventing an electronic counter from being brought into a count-up condition when a backflow of gas is generated. SOLUTION: In this gasmeter provided with the electronic counter for converting a reciprocating motion of a measuring diaphragm 1 caused by a gas flow into a rotational motion of a crankshaft 3 via a crank mechanism 2 to count rotation of the crankshaft 3 using a magnet 4 and a reed switch 5, a rotary body 6 mounted on the magnet 4 is supported rotatably on a shaft concentric to the crankshaft 3 in a condition substantially free from the crankshaft 3, the crankshaft 3 and the rotary body 6 are provided respectively with projection pieces 7a, 7b projected unidirectionally in the periphery of a rotary shaft, the fellow projection pieces 7a, 7b contact each other when the crankshaft is rotated, and the rotary body 6 is rotated along with the crankshaft 3.
