PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply realize a system for an information providing service that can properly use visual information and voice information in common depending on contents of information where menu (character) information on a screen is provided to a user when the user selects desired information or the user receives explanation by voice information when the user concretely recognizes the contents. SOLUTION: This invention provides a simple communication method and system for employing a wireless communication unit and using character.image information and voice information in common that employs an information providing service center 1 provided with a voice terminal server 5 that records voice information along a general voice channel to control communication, with a web server 3 compatible with the Internet 7, and with a connection.switch unit 4 that is interposed between the server 5 and the web server 3, properly converts data formats of the both, temporarily stores required communication identification information and has a function of transferring the information to the server as a retrieval key in the case of performing a service.
