The cleaner for the walls of a swimming pool has a float (2) carrying a motorized (22) rotary brush (4) which is applied along the walls of the pool. The brush is positioned along the water level (L) of the cleaner to also form a propeller. The brush is wetted by the swimming pool water to allow a wet friction action on the walls of the pool adjacent to the water level.
