A reinforcing member (3) for a retaining wall facing panel (2) consists of a mesh component made from lengthwise (3-1) and transverse (3-2) rods to act as reinforcement for earth and stones held back by the facing panel. The reinforcing member is fastened to the facing panel by loops (5) on the ends of its lengthwise rods engaging with a horizontal bar (4) inserted through holes (7) in vertical ribs (8) on the back of the panel.
