PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an incinerator of a conventional structure can hardly be applied to a small size incinerator of low temperature since the conventional one is targeted to a large size incinerator for continuous operation. SOLUTION: The incinerator comprises a decomposing portion 10 for treating an organochlorine compound generated in an incinerating portion 1 for incinerated combustible refuse. The decomposing portion 10 is provided with a dust collecting portion 6 for collecting fly ash, a decomposition catalyst portion 8 for decomposing the organochlorine compound and a heating means 7. The organochlorine compound that had been desorbed from the dust collecting portions 6 by the heating means 7 is efficiently decomposed in the cracking catalyst portion 8, thereby providing the incinerator having a decomposition function.
