<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate special reproduction of compressed moving picture data adopting a differential coding system. SOLUTION: A data demultiplex section 20 demultiplexes differential coding data extracted by a data input section 10 into I and P frames, which are fed to an I' frame generating section 30 in which they are superimposed so as to generate I' frames corresponding to the I frames at a prescribed time interval, a data multiplexer section 40 multiplexes them and stores the multiplexed frames to a storage section 60. For reproduction, the data extracted from the storage section 60 are demultiplexed into I, P and I' frames by a data demultiplexer section 80, the data are once stored in a buffer section 90, a frame processing section 100 selectively extracts the I, P, I' frames from the buffer section 90 according to the reproduction method given from a reproduction control section 70 and applies frame processing to the extracted frames, and a data multiplexer section 110 multiplexes the processed frames and outputs the result externally.</p> |
