PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a protrusion on an outer circumference of a spigot of a pipe without an adverse effect on an inner surface layer of the pipe. SOLUTION: A protrusion ring 20 having a plurality of hole parts 22 formed in a pipe diameter direction along a circumferential direction is fitted on an outer surface of the spigot 2 of the pipe 1, and material is melt in by utilizing the hole parts 22 and welding. Thereby, the protrusion ring 20 is fixed on the outer surface of the spigot 2.
