PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device for a machine for machining a jet pump hole in a reactor pressure vessel being easy to keep horizontal state and easy to carry out centering and being lightweight enough to move easily. SOLUTION: A baseplate 11 is clampedly mounted to a shroud 2 near a hole 4 for mounting a jet pump, P and a machine mounting base 21 is horizontally installed on the baseplate 11 via a horizontal positioning and fixing mechanism 22 or the like. The mounting position of the machine T is adjusted and the machine is centered and fixed to the machine mounting base 21 by means of a centering and fixing mechanism. Thus, the baseplate 11 is almost centered and fixed in an approximately horizontal position and t machine mounting base 21 is adjusted to a horizontal position. Further, the machine T is centered and mounted in position whereby it can be easily kept in horizontal and centered state. The fixing device is lightweight enough to move easily.
