PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-contained photo-curable image forming assembly having moisture resistance and ensuring response and printing independently of a means of applying pressure to the assembly. SOLUTION: The self-contained photo-curable image forming assembly includes a transparent first base having 10-250 μm thickness and at least 80% light transmittance at 550 nm wavelength, at least one image forming layer containing photo-curable microcapsules containing a color precursor capable of reacting with a developer material in the same layer or an adjacent image forming layer and a transparent second base having 10-250 μm thickness, <0.77 g/m2/day steam permeability and >80% light transmissivity in this order from the front to the rear. The second base includes one or more image background layers and a metallic barrier layer in this order so as to produce photographic quality.
