PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal processing unit that enhances false color in the composition of video signals with different exposure times so as to obtain an excellent video signal with a wide dynamic range. SOLUTION: An OB(Optical Black) level of a standard exposure video signal 1060 and an OB of a non-standard exposure video signal 1070 are detected, the levels are respectively subtracted from the standard exposure video signal 1060 and the non-standard exposure video signal 1070 to match a reference signal level. The gain of the non-standard exposure video signal 1070 after OB level adjustment is adjusted depending on the exposure time ratio. A video signal composition means 1080 composites the standard exposure video signal 1060 and the non-standard exposure video signal 1070 after the gain adjustment. Thus, production of a false color caused by an offset of the signal levels can be reduced to widen the dynamic range.
